I had the pleasure of working with Amit in two different advanced machine learning hackathons solving problems in forecasting, causal modeling and image recognition, where Amit served as the team captain and mentor. Amit has a strong ability to methodically dissect the complex problems into simple project steps. With his deep experience in machine learning models he always came up with elegant and practical solutions that led the project team in successfully delivering optimal results to the projects. I collaborated with Dr Shah on a Hackathon related to computer vision. Dr Shah was our project lead on the project. With his meticulous project management skills he kept the project on time and pushed the team to deliver results despite tight deadlines. His knowledge on computer vision and machine learning modeling was critical for successful delivery of the project. During our initial project discover phase, Dr Shah led some of the very detailed sessions on Modeling the problem statement and came up with a creative solution that resulted in on time delivery of the Hackathon.

I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Shah last September 2021. He introduced me to Data Science as a mentor of the University of Texas/Great Learning PGP. Dr. Shah is a true expert in Machine Learning, AI, and many other subjects. He was always eager to challenge us students with the knowledge he imparted. And very much open to dicuss any topics we would bring up. His expertise on the courses, willingness to answer all our questions and concerns, and the industry insights that he brought to our sessions have been an invalauble asset we all acquired.
