A Decision Control Plane is a decision-level control layer for consequential AI workflows. It determines how a proposed action should be handled — proceed, verify, review, or hold — based on the situation, rather than forcing the same blanket human review on every case.

DCP does not replace the clinician, payer, agency, or business owner. It does not approve or deny on its own as a substitute for accountable authority. It is also not “Responsible AI” language alone — it is an operating control pattern for when AI shapes actions with real consequences.
Control becomes more important as AI takes on more consequential responsibility. DCP is the runtime and replay architecture when persistent decision-level control is warranted. Many buyers first need Design, Build, or Prove — not a control plane.
